Main activities
* plans the identification and extraction of coal, metal ores, non-metallic minerals and such building materials as stone and gravel;
* selects the most suitable effective mining and extraction methods, plans the layout of mines and tunnels and supervises their construction work;
* determines the locations for well installations and prepares control methods for water, oil or gas flows that have broken out from wells;
* ensures the installation and control of work safety standards and procedures, first aid measures, especially when working underground;
* conducts scientific research, develops methods for extracting metals from their ores and advises on their application issues;
* leads the team, ensures the quality of work performed and compliance with standards.
