Oversees the smooth movement and control of vehicles and goods. Manages and coordinates vehicle routes, schedules, and communicates with drivers, customers, and other dispatchers.

Main activities

• coordinates the movement of vehicles and goods and their routes and schedules;
• communicates with drivers and other dispatchers via radio, telephone or other communication channels;
• provides vehicle drivers with necessary information, such as traffic conditions, alternative routes and other traveler notifications;
• resolves problems and conflicts related to the movement of vehicles and provides recommendations to drivers;
• monitors vehicle performance and labor costs.
