Assisting the veterinarian in an animal clinic or other similar veterinary institution, performs simple tasks related to animal treatment and care.

Main activities

* weigh and mix special ingredients, prepare food and feed animals;
* wash, sterilize veterinary clinic cabinets, surgeries, animal cages, aviaries;
* clean and sterilize surgical instruments and other equipment;
* accompany and bring animals to treatment cabinets and hold them during procedures;
* accept clients, answer phone calls and schedule admission time, may change dressings;
* administer medical interventions applied to animals, including treatment, administered drugs and health condition assessments.
