Provides a variety of assistance to veterinarians, veterinary technicians, technical and administrative support to the veterinary doctor according to national law. Provides assistance and advice to owners on animal care and health.

Main activities

* help with diagnostics and disease identification, using medical tools and techniques;
* perform simple tests, such as taking blood samples or measuring blood pressure;
* prepare medicines, perform injections, treat wounds, and apply antiseptics as directed by the vet;
* prepare the operating room, sterilize tools and medical clothing, monitors the animal's condition during surgery and perform post-operative care tasks;
* help perform animal rehabilitation tasks, such as exercise, massage, treatment procedures for animal recovery after injuries or surgeries.
