Takes care of animals (pets) and ensures their welfare. Coordinates animal feeding, housing, hygiene, health monitoring and necessary medical procedures. Works in different organizations and institutions that require animal care, such as veterinary clinics, shelters, zoos, stables or households.

Main activities

• feeds the animals, taking into account the recommended amounts of feed and drink;
• ensures the hygiene of the animals, takes care of the cleanliness of their accommodation every day, combs or cuts their fur;
• maintains good health status of animals, monitors their behavior, temperature, breathing and other important parameters and reports unusual animal behavior or symptoms to the veterinarian;
• performs necessary medical procedures, such as medication dosing, wound care, as well as hygienic procedures;
• maintains good relations with animal owners, provides them with advice and recommendations on animal care.
