Carries out veterinary activities and is responsible for national animal disease eradication programs, food or animal control, animal movement, and the import and export of live animals and their products.
Main activities
* lead, coordinate, and control the work of the veterinary service, and are responsible for the targeted employment of subordinate employees, quality work, and controls its execution;
* plan, organize timely animal vaccination, and carry out various investigations;
* control animal feed preparation and storage places, perform veterinary supervision of feeds;
* perform or participate in the slaughter of dead animals, identify the causes of deaths;
* organize and carry out animal quarantining (prepare animals for export and import);
* provide consultations on animal care, feeding, and breeding issues.
