Investigates climate processes, determines and forecasts weather condition trends, and provides consultation services to various weather information users. Identifies models on which weather forecasts are based, develops tools for collecting meteorological data, accumulates statistical data, and compiles databases.
Main activities
* participate in scientific research activities related to weather conditions and phenomena, investigate physical and chemical properties and processes of the atmosphere;
* check calculated meteorological data, fill gaps between real-time weather conditions and predicted weather conditions;
* prepare short-term and long-term weather forecasts, use physical and mathematical formulas, understand specialized computer modeling programs;
* support integrated cooperation when different stakeholders work together to create value-based innovations;
* involve the public in scientific research preparation, implementation, and dissemination processes.
