Applies scientific knowledge of chemistry, acquires new knowledge, uses it in the plastics manufacturing industry and controls the quality and processes of petroleum refining. Collects samples and data, analyzes programs, identifies environmental pollutants and their amounts, and seeks ways to create new materials.

* investigate the properties of existing plastics, apply them to a wider use;

* synthesize plastics from renewable raw materials, produce synthetic plastics, develop new plastic production technologies;
