212002 - Operations research analyst
Performs logical analyzes of management tasks and formulates mathematical models of each task necessary for programming and computer solving, analyzes tasks that require such solutions as choosing from various proposals the one that would ensure the highest probability of profit or an effective result, takes into account financial costs and costs, prepares mathematical models, in the form of one or several equations, collects data related to model variables, directs calculations and the preparation of other data, manages programs for testing the model and the computer solution of equations.
Main activities
• predicts changes in the environment, draws up a short- and long-term budget, plans and evaluates investments;
• monitors economic data, evaluates, forecasts and advises on the effectiveness of monetary and tax policy;
• forecasts the production of specific products, the provision of services and consumption on the basis of past data on production, provision of services and consumption;
• collects data, analyzes it, interprets and predicts it, relies on economic theories and uses various statistical and other methods;
• applies mathematical formulas and statistical methods, checks economic theories and solves economic problems.
