Conducts experiments, tests, analyses, isolates, identifies and grows cultures of bacteria and other microorganisms, determines the conditions that promote or inhibit their growth and reproduction, ensures their activity in living plants, animals and microorganism tissues or inorganic materials.


Main activities

* perform laboratory and field scientific research, test hypotheses, develop new pharmaceutical, agricultural and environmental protection methods, processes and products;
* experiment, analyze, isolate, identify and grow cultures of bacteria and other microorganisms, determine the conditions that promote or inhibit their growth;
* ensure the activity of bacteria and other microorganisms in living plants, animals and microorganism tissues or inorganic materials, determine the chemical composition of the acids, alcohol, enzymes and other substances thus obtained;
* control the use of bacteria and other harmful bacteria in the soil for food processing;
* develop serums and vaccines for the prevention and treatment of various diseases, apply bacteriological findings in industry, agriculture, and medicine.
