Performs laboratory microbiological experiments, produces certain compounds and consumer goods. Cultivates new, particularly active strains of microorganisms, characterized by gene-determined reproductive properties, and develops new microbiological methods for diagnosing human and animal diseases, preserving food, drinks, and animal feed, and protecting the environment.
