Main activities

monitors and assesses the condition of the forest; 
analyzes the wood market and supervises wood production; 
reforests, plants seeds, transplants trees or promotes natural regeneration; 
controls pests and diseases in the forest; 
takes care of the forest, seeks to preserve biological diversity.

Characteristic competences

recognize different types of wood based on their appearance, texture and properties, manage wood production and use; to preserve biological diversity and the harmony of ecosystems, to plan sustainable forest management; make maps, measure and determine the boundaries of land plots, plan forest maintenance, use and regeneration; identify pests and diseases that can affect forest growth and health, implement effective prevention and control methods; prepare long-term forest management plans, take into account economic, ecological and social principles of sustainability.
