Investigates horticultural crops and creates new and improves old cultivation methods, conducts experiments, enhances the cultivation of horticultural crops, resistance to diseases and pests, adapts to various types of soil and climatic conditions, investigates soil fertility, crop quality and other characteristics, explores planting, growing and harvesting methods, improves the storage, transportation, and processing methods of horticultural products, advises farmers on the selection and methods of cultivating horticultural crops.
Main activities
* prepare soil condition and plant nutrition programs and advise on their implementation issues;
* prepare the plot and soil for planting, use mechanical tools or machines, prepare plants for planting, ensure the quality of plants;
* make decisions regarding plant cultivation and consultations;
* determine the care the plant needs and provides it, take care of plant and tree cultivation, look after them, water and spray them;
* manage horticultural equipment and perform technical maintenance, ensure the roadworthiness of transport vehicles before starting work.
