Investigates soil characteristics, usage possibilities, resistance to diseases and fertility, applies the results in practice, improves agriculture, horticulture and forestry, explores the origin of soils, their composition, classifies soils according to standard types, studies and analyzes the impact of alternative practices on long-term soil productivity, coordinates soil erosion control, moisture conservation or wildlife conservation methods.


Main activities

* analyze and study soil samples, determine gas chromatography and collects information about isotopes and carbon;
* provide information and suggest actions related to environmental protection;
* perform tests in the laboratory, obtains reliable data, bases scientific research and product trials on them;
* take care of and safely use laboratory equipment, properly handle samples, ensure reliability of scientific research results;
* prepare work reports, document and preserve records.
