This category includes other land and forest management and fisheries specialists not listed in the subgroup 2132 „Specialists in agriculture, forestry and fishery“ who investigate the management of land, forest and fisheries, including land cultivation, fertilization, harvesting, soil composition and erosion, disease prevention, soil enrichment, crop rotation and marketing, and provide assistance and advice on these matters. They develop productivity enhancement methods and research and develop land use and fisheries management plans and policy directions.
Main activities
* collect and analyze data on the quality of products, feed, soil, water, and other factors affecting the production of agriculture, forestry, or fisheries;
* advise on methods of increasing crop, cattle, and fish production and on alternative production possibilities;
* consult on matters related to crop and cattle diseases, parasites and weed control, soil improvement, cattle breeding and feeding programs;
* investigate environmental factors affecting commercial crop production, pasture improvement, animal breeding, fish resources, and the growth and health of forest trees;
* examine the impact of soil cultivation methods, soil, insects, diseases, and the operations of fisheries on animals, crops, profitability of forests and fisheries.
