Performs measurements of the earth's surface, determines the geometry of objects, maps and collects information for planned engineering design tasks. Prepares and maintains mining plans in accordance with the requirements established by legislation.
Main activities
performs topographic measurements, determines the relief of the territory, the position of objects and other geodetic characteristics;
designs, manages and interprets geodetic networks for precision measurements;
collects and processes geodetic data, uses it to create maps and plans;
participates in the planning of engineering projects, determines the shape of the land, boundaries of objects and other geodetic parameters.
Characteristic competences
process the collected geodetic data using specialized computer programs; calculate coordinates, distances and angles; recognize the simulated characteristics of the medium and properly interpret the results; use geographic information systems (GIS), create, analyze and manage geodetic data; understand map projections and coordinate systems.
