Improves and corrects a person's vision. Adapts eyeglass lenses and frames, contact lenses and other devices according to individual needs. Performs eye exams and diagnoses vision disorders and eye diseases, prescribes prescription glasses or contact lenses and performs eye care procedures.
Main activities
* perform comprehensive eye exams, vision ostoscopy, vertical and horizontal mobility of the eyeball, alignment of the eyeballs and linear movements of the eyeballs;
* assess visual acuity and diagnose vision disorders;
* perform eye examination and identify eye diseases, eye inflammation, retinal problems or glaucoma;
* advise patients on the appropriate selection and care of glasses or contact lenses;
* monitor patient eye condition, track vision changes and make recommendations for further treatment or care.
