Integrates structured knowledge into computer systems (knowledge bases), solves complex problems that usually require high-level human knowledge or artificial intelligence methods. Responsible for obtaining or extracting knowledge from information sources, maintaining this knowledge and presenting it to the company or users. Has knowledge of representation and maintenance methods (rules, frames, semantic networks, ontologies) and uses knowledge extraction methods and tools. Designs and develops special or artificial intelligence systems that use this knowledge.

Main activities

• creates consistent lists and hierarchy of concepts and terms, ensures indexing of knowledge in organizational systems; 
• applies database development schemes and models, defines data dependencies, uses query languages ​​and database management systems (DBMS), creates and manages databases; 
• examines customer needs and expectations related to a product or service, identifies and eliminates inconsistencies, and prevents potential disagreements among related stakeholders; 
• specifies the technical characteristics of goods, materials, methods, processes, services, systems, software and functions, determines specific needs that are met according to customer requirements, and responds to them; 
• uses computer languages ​​that are syntactically different from text, adds notes to documents, specifies types of document layout and processing.
